Btw Mark A. Mentioned he had a fool cell powered iPhone so I stopped by the
Apple Store at lunch and they said there was no such thing.
Stay Charged

Horizon Fuel cell technologies worked on commercializing a handheld USB charger powered by a small fuel cell. You can see details with a photo here:
https://www.horizonfuelcell.com/minipak

They don't appear to be offered for sale any more on the website.

"Each HYDROSTIK can store 14Wh of energy, which is enough for 1-2 charges of a 3G smartphone or 2-3 charges for the average cellphone." (14 Wh isn't a lot, and you can buy LiIon battery banks that supply more nowadays) [Hydrostick's cost $40 on the website, but they are refillable.]

They sell a "hydrofill" device which will refill a Hydrostick in one hour via electrolysis of water. [Cost of $1,000 on the website.]

They claim it was commercialized by Brunton, but it is no longer listed on the Brunton website (a web search did turn up this (now dead) URL):
https://www.brunton.com/products/hydrogen-reactor-plus-hydrogen-core

But it was offered for sale at one time, for example, REI sold it for $149.

In general, looks like it was a niche product that did not take off in the market, probably because USB power packs can provide a very similar performance for less cost and the re-charging infrastructure is less expensive.
