Travelscoots are (or at least were) pretty cool little folding scooters. Several years ago, I converted an early lead-battery powered Travelscoot to lithium with a 24v 10ah Ping battery, which worked out pretty well. Travelscoots aren't for people with serious handicaps, but they're pretty good EVs for folks who have walking restrictions and need a little mobility help. They were originally designed by a pilot and kit-plane builder who'd been injured in a hang gliding accident and wanted to keep flying and traveling. He sold the company a few years ago, and the scooters have since been somewhat redesigned. They used to be surprisingly quick and fun to ride, but now they're limited to a bland walking speed for safety. OTOH, the drive system now handles dirt and snow better.
