4.0 out of 5 starsGood summary of the hollow promise of H2.
April 27, 2008
Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase
A very complete and thoughtful analysis of the many problems and challenges in
moving to a hydrogen economy and if we do; how it is likely to make things
worse rather than better. The author then goes into a number of practical
examples we can take now to reduce our reliance on oil and cut our emmissions.

The take away for me is that hydrogen is not fuel so much as a energy storage
medium. There is no such thing as a hydrogen well. And while there is a lot of
hydrogen locked up in water the hydrogen is not easy to access and will take a
significant amount of energy to pull it out.

5.0 out of 5 starsAn eye-opening expose.

This book opens one's eyes to the sheer propaganda of the hydrogen-as-fuel
supporters. As a retired Physic Professor I've followed this story since
the 1950s. I'm reassured to know the real story is beginning to surface.
