And "biased" might mean "doesn't match my bias." Which in turn might mean that "they aren't as far to my side as I am." :-( On average, today's NPR stations get about as many gripes from the left as from the right. They keep getting more and more gripes from both sides, too, no matter how hard they work to be even-handed. How could it be otherwise, when today's politicians have done such a deft job of turning their followers into mobs? The fact is that since their scrappy poverty-stricken origins in the 1970s, NPR have become quite staid, conventional, establishment, inoffensive, and middle of the road. I would even say "dull." They don't call NPR "CNN without pictures" for nothing. :-\ NPR does have a science beat, and the feature and interview shows can be pretty good -- but in my experience, most of the news program reporting tends to echo what other media say about EVs. Kinda stinks, but that's the way it is. PS: for those who don't know, NPR and PBS are completely separate organizations.
