I asked Tesla, they wouldn't say. I asked are all of these parked cars sold
and destined for specific customers. They wouldn't say.

Don’t kill me, but this Tesla fan has seen a lot of cars parked in
overflow here in Dedham, and I for one am curious what’s going on. I’m sure
it’s not fatal, or necessarily even bad, but it’s interesting. I like the
RWD theory.

AERIAL photos have revealed how thousands of Tesla cars have been left
parked in car parks and garages across the US - leading to fears today Elon
Musk's company is in turmoil.

Internet sleuths have flown drones and even private planes over car parks to
take the shots of rows and rows of vehicles in California, New Jersey,
Arizona, Utah and other locations ...

The pictures have again fuelled doubts Musk's firm can make the jump from
making luxury sports cars powered by electricity to becoming a major
automaker.

Its share prices tumbled lately amid reports it was missing production
targets.

And many on social media say the unearthed photos largely of 100 Model 3s
cars, said to be taken at regular intervals since July, suggest something is
still amiss at Tesla ...

"There are 42 Tesla's sitting at the Union Pacific Railroad in SLC. My car
is one of these. I've been told I was getting delivery the 8th, then the
15th, then the 20th, then the 22nd, and now my delivery has been delayed
indefinite. @Tesla @elonmusk...

"Please make this right," read one angry tweet, suggesting delivery problems
are to blame for the parked cars.

Elon Musk responded personally to one customer's concerns, writing on
Twitter: "Sorry, we've gone from production hell to delivery logistics hell,
but this problem is far more tractable. We're making rapid progress. Should
be solved shortly."

But Dave Arnold, spokesman for Tesla, told The Times the parked cars were
"logistics transit hubs".

"Anyone observing those lots will see a change from one day to the next," he
added.

Tesla delivered 83,500 vehicles in the third quarter but Musk insists he
intends to increase this rate.

The 47-year-old dad even claimed last week he has been sleeping on factory
floor in Fremont, California, in a desperate bid to oversee the efforts to
make more cars.

He also said the company has developed its own trailers to transport cars to
customers ...
