Nope, not the least bit surprised by this proposal. This is woefully predictable, with the advent of citizens united allowing the big oil guys to provide unlimited support for their chosen lawmakers, and a great amount of misdirection by the "unbiased" media. Is it any surprise that we now have such scenarios play out?
