Located at the Hermosa Ave. public parking lot since Aug. 19, Hermosa Beach made the EV ARC transportable solar powered EV charger available to the public for free in continuance of its successful efforts towards carbon neutrality. The EV ARC assists with educating both residents and visitors on the benefits of solar-powered vehicle charging efforts. On Tuesday 27 Sept., the Hermosa City Council will host a Public Hearing to review data gathered through the EV ARC pilot period and will consider the permanent placement of solar powered EV chargers within the City in order to enhance its existing EV charging infrastructure. Hermosa Beach has joined the cities of Davis, Calif., Austin, Texas and South Miami as early adoptees of carbon neutrality. Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC product fits inside a parking space and does not reduce available parking in any way. It generates enough clean, solar electricity to power up to 150 miles of EV driving each day. The system's solar electrical generation is enhanced by the patented EnvisionTrak system, which causes the array to follow the sun, generating 18 to 25 percent more electricity than a fixed array. The energy is stored in the EV ARC product's energy storage for charging day or night. Because the EV ARC product requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind, it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease. EV ARC products are manufactured in the Company's San Diego facility by combat veterans, the disabled, minorities and other highly talented, mission-driven team members.
