Sad to see those that help others leave us, particularly those that support EVs. If anyway has further info on his open source EVSE, it would be nice to have that posted somewhere public for others to benefit from. Here is his obit: Donald Charles BRADLEY NoticeBRADLEY, Donald Charles 67, of Forestville, CA died on June 20, 2016. Don worked for a variety of companies including U.S. Navy, Digital Phone Equipment, Sun Microsystems, HP, Agilent, and his own business, Bradley Engineering. He was actively involved with folk music, Guild of American Luthiers, contra dancing, hiking, llamas, sustainable agriculture, and classic and electric cars. He is survived by brothers, Robert Bradley (Jocelyn) of Honolulu, HI and Richard Bradley (Claire) of Davis, CA; and nieces, Heidi Li (Steve, Karina, Kayla) of Davis, CA and Shala Myhill (Alexander) of Bremerton, WA. Preceded in death by parents, Russell and Helen Bradley; and nephew, Brooks Bradley. Sent from AltaMail From: EVDL Administrator via EV <[email protected]> To: Electric Vehicle Discussion List <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [EVDL] news Date: 6/29/16, 6:40 AM Don Bradley joined the EVDL in April of 2010. His first post dates from March of 2013. Though he wasn't a highly active member, he gave more than he received. He had suggestions for a list member who was looking for a specific DC motor, one who had trouble with the controller in a newly- converted EV, one who had battery problems, and one who had picked up an EV converted with a somewhat dodgy kit. In that first March of 2013 post, Don said here that he was interested in building an open source EVSE. In June of that same year, he gave a presentation at a North Bay EAA meeting showing others how to build theirs. Don was apparently an electrical engineer. The GAL Bruce mentioned is the Guild of American Luthiers. Luthiers are people who build, refine, and repair stringed musical instruments such as guitars and violins. From what I can tell, Don was apparently not an instrument maker himself, but he was interested in music and musical instruments and he developed a signal generator for string instrument analysis. I'm really sorry to hear of Don's sudden passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
