Brighton Electric is owned by James Stringfellow and has been used by iconic British artists such as The Cure, Laura Marling, Newton Faulkner, Mumford and Sons and Royal Blood. He took delivery of the 24Kwh Acenta model from Motorline Nissan. And he is now thinking of adding an e-NV200 electric people carrier to the business, which will help carry musical equipment across the city. He said: “I wanted a Leaf as I feel very strongly about improving Brighton’s air pollution, particularly as one of the city’s main roads is three times over the EU limit. “The Leaf made economic sense as I drive two to three times a day and my wife uses it as well and I’ve been amazed at the savings I’ve made. “I live just outside of the city and as we only do 40-60 miles a day it is perfect for me to recharge the battery at night. I’m definitely looking at adding another electric vehicle to the business.” Therese Wynn-Davies, innovation specialist at Motorline Nissan in Crawley, said: “We’re delighted to hear the Leaf is proving to be a smash hit at Brighton Electric.
