His 17 years of experience and many longterm connections in China are ideal conditions to initalize the vision of urban mobility „Made in Switzerland.“ From the collaboration with a swiss university various diploma theses have been developed, among them an intensive pilot study with product definition and feasibility, as well as a system design in the form of a concept study and its verification. The first prototype is based on an electrified BMW Isetta from 1956. Because of the experiences of uncountable test drives and the very positive reactions from people on the street, we knew that this project has to go to the next phase. 1. What is new? Conventional cars weigh about 15 to 30 times more than their driver. With the vision of „Reduce to the Max“ we want to develop a functional, yet beautifully designed car in the category of light vehicles. This category is still a niche, but we think with the Microlino it won‘t be anymore! The Microlino should also be the first light vehicle, that is explicitly geared to multimedia-based mobility systems like car sharing and car pooling. And what’s more, the Microlino will be affordable for everyone, whether it is for renting or for buying. 2. How big is the energy saving potential? With an empty weight of less than 400kg the Microlino has 3 to 5 times less mass than conventional automibiles, which reduces its energy consumption down to a fuel equivalent of less than 1 liter per 100 km. In addition it is possible to park two Microlinos in one parking space, due to its lenghth of only 2.4 metres. In general, the stylish, yet practical Microlino should increasy the popularity of light vehicles. Especially in urban city centres we see a huge problem with noise and emissions. This would be solved with the electric Microlino. And with modern sharing systems like automatical car towers, which hold up to 30 cars, it is possible at everytime to have a fully charged car. 3. Time to market Our society changes and the pressure on cities is incrasing. India and China will promote electric mobility even more in the next three years. Additional countries will do so as well. New urban mobility concepts are necessary. The light vehicle mobility is still at the very beginning and big car companies are not ready yet to risk going into this category. 4. Time to change Change your mindset! Up to 15 electric motors in a car seat are a pure waste of resources. Too much, too complex and too expensive. Changing your mindset begins already by thinking about an environmentally friendly use of resources. At Micro our slogan is: „Reduced to the Max!“ A vehicle, which is built for 90% of its usage and not one, which is too big for 90% of the time. Light vehicle mobility with pedestrian security instead of a SUV with a crashtest! Slow Food, Urban Gardening and Sharing Economy are already trendy. What is still missing is a car for the urban mobility of this modern society. All the discussion and forums about changing the future are not exactly giving the world the solutions it needs. It needs the realization of already existing ideas. The courage to go this new way instead of the fear of failure! Prototypes instead of words! 5. Motion and Emotion There are different reasons why the Microlino has the potential to be a hit: - Women love the little bug from 1956 - The front entrance is unique and an eye-catcher - Sitting next to each other is much cooler than behind one another - Retro Design with modern components - It’s not a car, it’s a micro vehicle - Space-saving urban vehicle, in places where there is not much space - Signifies a new generation: lust for life despite modesty - It’s affordable - Low maintenance costs or even additional income through sharing - It’s quiet, safe and does not stink - Small, agile and for 90% of ist usage ideal For more information see: www.micro.ms [© micro-mobility.com] [dated] http://www.autodato.com/2015/10/en-suiza-quieren-revivir-al-isetta-como-coche-electrico.html (Swiss>translate.google>English) Swiss want to revive the Isetta as electric car October 12, 2015 [image http://www.autodato.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Micro-Mobility-Microlino-Isetta.jpg Leer completo: Autodato http://www.autodato.com/Micro-Mobility-Microlino gallery ] The Isetta back to life as an electric car, thanks to a Swiss company called Micro Mobility.
