I sent my views to both contacts on their PR. Below is the response from the
EVgo rep. From his email I take away this:

- EVgo has a 'near total focus on DC Fast charging'
They are following their CEO's plan, so 1 L2 at a multiple L3 EVSE site
will become the norm.

RE: Feedback: EVgo EVSE @Fremont, CA Lucky Supermarket
Friday, December 11, 2015 7:13 AM [PST]
Bruce,
Thanks for your well thought out comments.

A couple things. In no way is the Fremont area saturated. The Whole Foods
EVgo Freedom station is the busiest public charging location in the nation
by more than double compared to the next closest. It has for the last six
months averaged 24 hour total use if you calculate the number of full
charging sessions at the chargers there. We anticipate the Lucky station
being significantly busier because as you mentioned the access is better
than any other charging location in California and it is less than a 1/2
mile from the freeway.

In addition the Lucky Freemont station is actually only at half of what it's
planned (and already pre-wired and built) capacity is. There is both
parking access and pre-wiring for another four Dual DC Fast 50kW EVSE's.

This is just the first stage of development for EVgo with Lucky/Savemart as
a host all over the region. So that you understand, the stations are paid
for and owned and operated by EVgo NOT Lucky and the location is a long-term
lease agreement at the site. Lucky does not choose the capacity at the site
EVgo does and when the need is illustrated by usage the site will be
expanded in a matter of days not weeks or months.

Also understand that EVgo has a near total focus on DC Fast charging. We
have more than 500 Freedom Stations across the country and more than 100 in
California. That is more locations than all other providers of public
charging combined. We are also very active on Plugshare both in customer
engagement and use (In fact plugshare maps populate our website).

Look for another new EVgo Freedom station also with 2 DC Fast Dual chargers
and a L2 at Lucky Daly City in the coming days.

Thanks for your comments and feel free to reach out any time.
