Alan,
Please understand the objective - they set out to create a new record,
not to test the bus in real world operation.
Their claim is that now that they have a new world record and smashed
it by an enormous amount, their bus can do a daily driving routine
without running out of juice.
I am not thinking about Greyhound, the long-distance interstate driving
model, but the urban / sub-urban bus routes that may be 50 miles long
(San Francisco to San Jose for example) but take several hours to
complete
a round trip. For even those gruelling services that even a Tesla might
not be able to complete without refuelling during the day, this bus
should have
enough juice on-board. So I think they have a point.
Now the question is if they can find a market...

plants across OZ

1004km is 624mi. 10:00pm Sat to say 11:30pm Sun is 25.5 hours. So the
bus traveled at about 25mph.
Totally unacceptable in a real world situation.

According to Brighsun, the bus started its journey at 10pm Saturday
November 14 and achieved the record distance just before midnight on the

following Sunday, in the presence of a Guinness World Record
adjudicator.
