Prototype Sterling Electric Car
Don Woodward, of Mobile, talks about the prototype Sterling body he combined
with forklift parts to make an electric car during Cruisin' the Coast in
Pascagoula.

PASCAGOULA, Mississippi -- Don Woodward, of Mobile, was getting plenty of
attention in Pascagoula during Sunday's Cruisin' the Coast.

He didn't just have a flashy red car. He had a flashy red electric car made
from a prototype Sterling body and some electric forklift parts.

A lot of people stopped to ask, "What is it?"

It's the second electric vehicle he's made, and he says it will go up to 70
mph.

The car has two things noticeably missing: doors and a gas tank. Woodward
gets into the car by either a manual button from inside or a remote control
that lifts the top of the vehicle.

The car turns heads with its bright Corvette color, called "Pull Me Over
Red."
