Electric vehicles from Tesla, Nissan, Mercedes and other manufacturers will be on display and available for test rides or drives during Drive Electric Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the north parking lot at Coddingtown Mall. Dozens of North Bay EV owners will be on hand to describe the advantages of driving clean-air vehicles at the free-admission event sponsored by the North Bay Chapter of the Electric Auto Association. Plug-in vehicles from Fiat, Kia, Chevrolet, Ford, and Volkswagen will also be featured. Owners and dealer representatives will offer information on solar panels and installation of car chargers at home, said Alan Soule, president of the association. The local event is one of more than 100 across the country promoting the advantages of electric vehicles.
