The fair has an exhibit displaying two electric vehicles that can be powered by solar panels or plugged into your electricity source at home. Using electricity, the Tesla gets the equivalent of 100 miles to the gallon, said solar energy company owner Dan Brandborg. The Tesla is parked next to a red Nissan. Brandborg thinks cars like this will eventually revolutionize the automotive world. "This is a Tesla, Model S, 240 miles on a charge, all-electric car," he said, "and this is a Nissan LEAF, $25,000 and 80 miles per charge." Brandborg said people can learn more about electric cars at an energy fair at Caras Park in Missoula, on Saturday, Sept. 19.
