Menlo Spark in partnership with the City of San Mateo and Plug In America is hosting the first Electric Vehicle (EV) Expo to take place in San Mateo on Saturday, September 12th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The event, which takes place on the Franklin Templeton Campus at Saratoga Drive and Franklin Parkway, features the latest models of electric cars as well as a raffle with prizes being distributed throughout the day. This event showcases the latest EV makes and models from leading car companies such as Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Fiat, Nissan, and Volkswagen. Other types of electric vehicles including the new electric scooters from EcoReco (pictured), a variety of e-bikes, and the electric motorcycle used by the San Mateo Police Department will also be on display. Those interested in seeing how EV’s handle the road will have an opportunity to ride in or test-drive many of the latest models. “For people considering making the switch from carbon-polluting fossil fuel to a more sustainable electric car (or bike or scooter), the Electric Vehicle Expo is a great place to test out all the climate-friendly choices,” said Diane Bailey, Executive Director of Menlo Spark.
