Love it, EVTV always does it first...

But if you watch the vid, you'll see that Michal Elias says that he has a
universal controller. He claims that it will control a Chevrolet Volt, Toyota
Prius and several others.

I think that there are lots of things to work out, like he has to get wires
large enough to actually run the motors at speed. But it is a neat step towards
controlling AC motors.
