Late to the discussion, but I just have to say that I lose all suspension of 
disbelief when marketeers get their units wrong.

What is it, 7 watts, or 7 joules?

A watt is a unit of power, a force times a flow. A joule is a watt*second, a 
unit of energy. If it generates 7 watts instantaneous, a footstep would have to 
last a full second for there to be 7 joules.

I suppose the next thing they'll claim is that when my 6 joule fence charger 
knocks me off my feet, I'll generate 7 joules, as long as I land on Pavegen. :-)
