This car is one of the fastest street-legal electric cars in the world and can travel up to 120 miles per hour. Wayland will give a one-hour presentation on the history of the “White Zombie” electric car starting at 10 a.m. in CCC’s Barlow Hall, room 109. After the presentation, the car will be on display in the Automotive Services Technology shop in Barlow Hall until 2 p.m. Wayland, aka Plasma Boy, is an electric-vehicle expert with more than three decades of hands-on experience in designing, building and racing high-performance electric vehicles. He also is the creator of the website PlasmaBoyRacing.com. In 2007, Wayland and his White Zombie electric car were featured in Car and Driver magazine.
