Tesla have offered another product that is too expensive for half the population to ever consider. This product will have no noticeable effect.
When SolarCity and others provide financing for people with no discretionary income or credit, then the residential side could reduce the need for nuclear power, but not eliminate it. Most power is used in the corporate realm however. These small nearly inconsequential units won't do much for the fully scaled use of power. We are very, very far from eliminating nuclear power with renewable energy.
