He has started a company called SeaWave Battery and the claim is that the saline electrolyte and ceramic/metal/glass semiconductor electrodes are non-flammable and non-toxic and can be manufactured cheaper than a Lithium-Ion battery while holding more energy than Li (per weight) and at least about the same power while offering higher cycle life.
Pretty tall claims, but the inventor claims he has 2 decades of work in these batteries and 18 revisions of prototypes, which have now approached the theoretical limits of his materials, so it is time to start converting the technology into products (batteries). I am interested in these batteries and this technology for various reasons and I want to do my due diligence before drawing any conclusions.
