This is promising, of course...but it also must be pointed out that many of 
their claimed and very impressive innovations are completely agnostic about the 
powertrain. Still, I'll be happy to see such advancements implemented 
anywhere...if a car's gonna burn gasoline, the less it burns the better. And 
that it'll close the price / range gap between EVs and ICEs that much quicker, 
all the better.
