I was using the SSBC system but the pump failed. But I was still able to use the ssbc switch. I kept all vacuum lines as short as possible. My system creates the vacuum at start up, and doesn't pump again until I use the brakes and then only for a very short time. I don't seem to need the reservoir. My vacuum motor came from a Volvo.
