What happens Chris if your ICE is on empty and the fuel retailers are closed and it is another 50 miles to the next exit / town? You wait for someone to open the store and sell you a replacement, or call for a tow-truck...Gasoline doesn't appear in your tank by Magic either.. You have to plan ahead. Bur if there is a campground nearby they won't sell gasoline but most will let you charge and have adapter cables for sale for J1772 connections... Most have restrooms, showers, snack-bars or groceries in the store and they are often open all night.
