I was delivered around northern Ohio for 5 winters in a 1959 VW bus - all 36 HP of it.
It had another training system - where you learned never to leave home with out a pile of blankets. called air engine cooling/cabin heating. Those engines took 20 minutes to warm up right in a warm climate - at 5 below... Tells you something about my Dad, he would buy such a thing. Not sure what exactly, but he is often a freer thinker, than a rational one.
