Omigosh, Wayne, what a bummer. I hope you get some relief over time. This is not good.
I remember talking to a paint shop many years ago about (I think) catalyzed acrylic enamel. I'd heard that that was the right choice for painting the ABS body of my Comuta-Car. They wouldn't sell it to me unless I proved I had a proper respirator - otherwise, they said, inhaling the vapor could be fatal! I decided to stay with regular enamel and just touch up the rough areas, instead of painting the entire EV.
