Hi Ed and other beloved members,

This is a really interesting topic.
I'm always interested in discussing friends' hobbies as I can learn a
lot of exciting things from their sharing, their stories. It's a good
way to start a conversation by asking others' hobbies. People are
often very enthusiastic when talking about what they like. And one of
my favorite topic is books. Recently, I've read a book about the life
and career of a genius, Nopoleon Bonaparte, whose reputation spreads
worldwide.

To be honest, I don't know much about this person. I just know that he
was a very successful captain who won almost every battles in Europe
and was really ambitious and intelligent. I'm very curious about what
character he had that made him so successful. Just after reading some
first pages I immediately found out the reason. Do you know what it
is? The reason that he was so successful is that he had a hobby of
reading books, especially those related to war and law. He read books
all day long, whenever possible. He had a small room with full of
books of all kinds. He was very proud of it and considered it as his
own library. No wonder he possessed such an intelligent brain.

Although Napoleon had many characters for me and also many others to
learn, the most important thing I've learnt after reading this book is
the enthusiasm of reading books. Almost every one knows that reading
is a very good hobby but not many people make it their hobby. It could
be possibly because they are too busy with other stuff such as
watching movies, playing games and so forth. However, from my own
experience, from what I've seen from successful people, it seems that
no one could achieve a big succuss without having a great passion of
reading books. Napoleon Bonaparte and Bill Gates are two typical
examples.

I also very passionate about books but I'm not sure if I could achieve
a small success in the future ^_^
What about you? could you share some of your opinions about reading
books and your favorite books.

Cheers,
Eric
