I agree with you, Ramiro, but not because of girls' interpretation. I often ask my partner if I can pay for my dinner, because there are a lot of situations and nuances which we should take into accout. Of course, if the person refuse to take my money, I give up. There aren't any "must" or "should" because there are not any rules in our own relationship, I of course don't take into account business etiquette.
