Hi friends,

You can have an idea about that this add-on is about directly from its
website:

https://www.kidzui.com/

This is the description you can read in its add-on page:

"KidZui turns Firefox into fun, kid-safe browser and online playground
for kids 3-12 with over a million kids games, YouTube videos, and
websites":

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9689

About how does it work: "Once parents sign up for the service, their
kids (up to 10 per family) can log onto KidZui, create and decorate a
personal avatar, and surf among a collection of 500,000 Web sites,
pictures, and videos reviewed by the KidZui team."

And here one review:

http://www.commonsensemedia.org/website-reviews/KidZui.html

"If a kid tries to access a site that isn't on KidZui, it gets
submitted to the panel for review. KidZui does a good job of screening
out sex, violence, and bad language, but parents may wish that the
featured sites were more educational and less commercial."

Personally I don't like the idea of restricting the pages your kid can
access, I think it's better to teach your kids about why is not ok to
visit certain pages. Anyway, I found kidzui useful to come across
interesting sites. There is also the risk of wasting time if kids just
stay playing and playing if there is no an adult guidance.

Thank you,

Pablo
