Can anyone think of a simple fix for the following problem: we have a few machines that have both the SCCM-deployed enterprise Firefox ESR package in the default location, as well as secondary Firefox installs in non-standard locations that are used for various debugging and other testing purposes. With CCK2, we could pick which installs got the enterprise rules and which ones did not by selecting the folders the config files were copied to, but now that we have moved to GPO, those settings apply to all the Firefox installs on the machine. The idea was that with the debug installs, we could make some changes, then fire up the enterprise-managed Firefox to test those changes, all on the same machine, without the need for virtualization or dev-only boxes, etc.
Is there a way to prevent some of the Firefox installs on the machine from applying the GPO rules? Perhaps via a Firefox command-line option? Thanks!
