Hi Vikas,

While there are some Firefox Devs on this mailing list, mainly it's other
system Admins sharing experiences.

I'm responsible for SCCM in my organisation. We distribute the FirefoxESR.exe
via SCCM, using a silent install and no other installation switches. Being an
.exe, we obviously have to manually configure the package, but the main points
items of note are the uninstall programme and detection method:

(On General Information page)
Uninstall program: helper.exe -ms
Uninstall start in: %ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall

(On Detection Method)
Add Clause. Configure the following:
Setting Type: File System
Type: File
Path: %ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox
File or folder name: firefox.exe
This file or folder is associated with a 32-bit application on 64-bit systems:
Unchecked
The file system setting must satisfy the following rule to indicate the
presence of this application: Checked
Property: Version
Operator: Equals
Value: XXXXXXX
Find this value out by (on a machine you've testing installed this version)
going to "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox", right-clicking on the firefox.exe
file, selecting Properties and then Details and noting the full file version
(not the product version).

Stopping Auto-Updates (and implementing other settings):
We do this through General Policy.
More information on this can be found here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/customizing-firefox-using-group-policy-windows

Hope this helps.

Regards

Will

Subject: [Mozilla Enterprise] Mozilla Update

Hi Team,

We are in the process of rolling out Mozila to one of our enterprise client
.As of now we are still in the process of designing\planning of Mozila rollout
.We are more inclined to use our existing SCCM infrastructure to rollout ESR
version of mozila .

My query was around controlled deployment of updates (vulenerability, security)
in future to these endpoints. How can we control rollout of these updates to
endpoint ?
I would also appreciate if you could share any documentation on pushing Mozila
using SCCM .

Thanks & Regards,
Vikas Singh
