So the crash on startup seems to be related to setting permissions.

Can you remove your permissions code from your cck2.cfg and see if Firefox
starts?

The ""Failed to read the configuration file." usually means something
changed internal to Firefox that broke CCK2.

Best way to debug is to put a try/catch around CCK2 init and output the
error to the console.

I'm going to make that the default behavior in the next version. It means
Firefox will start without customizations, but at least it will start...
