This sounds like exactly the behaviour we see in our Remote XUL applications: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1228979 However this issue appeared for us with e10s, which doesn't fit with you also seeing it on 45ESR. Nevertheless, we're able to work around it by disabling multi-process mode in 52ESR, so that might be worth a try. (As for us using Remote XUL still, that's another conversation entirely). Mark
