Sai had a great question. I too always wondered about FF browser updates w.r.t. how Mozilla thinks it "should" be done in an enterprise environment. Is the philosophy that updates should only happen while a user is actively using Firefox and not in the background while not even in use... such as without even being logged in?
BTW, I'm a noob w.r.t. Firefox ESR/Enterprise and this mailing list. Do we need to use Firefox continuously to get it updated or if a user is logged on to machine will it get updated with out using Firefox. I have not seen any task schedulers which will update the Firefox with certain time frame. Going to about section I was able to update the Firefox to latest.
