After deploying Firefox 45 ESR, some machines are throwing an error on first run “Installer corrupted: invalid opcode” and I noticed some GUI issues on them. I discovered that uninstalling Firefox with the helper.exe prior to deploying prevented those issues.
I wanted to dig deeper and find what exactly was causing this. So instead of using helper.exe, I deleted: * %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox * %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Mozilla * %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla * HKLM\Software\Mozilla * HKLM\Software\MozillaPlugins * HKCU\Software\Mozilla * HKCU\Software\MozillaPlugins But still the same issues!
