Hi Sarah,

there certainly is no "trick". GnuPG (via Enigmail) informs you that it's not able to locate the private key necessary to decrypt your draft. Once you saved it, there must have been another key, probably a key that you replaced by a new one. If you still have a backup copy of your old key(s) (public AND private key parts that is), then you may easily import them using GnuPG in the commandline, or Enigmail's Key Manager.
