I am deeply saddened to hear this news.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Bernard well during our time serving on the IAB, and I always appreciated his unique sense of humor. Many of us in the EMU/RADEXT groups will remember his commitment to excellence - he never accepted anything less than perfection.

Last year, when I asked for his guidance on teaching VoIP/RTCWeb security at the university, he made time for me despite his busy schedule. His willingness to support others, regardless of his own commitments, was truly remarkable.

I will miss you, Bernard.

For those not on some of the main IETF mailing lists, I'm forwarding this sad news to the EMU WG.
