  Ideally anything to make it simpler.

  That being said, it would be difficult to depend on a document which isn't 
published.  Perhaps we could just make a recommendation to use the new method, 
and leave it at that?

  I would very much like to get this document done and gone. Delaying it more 
is IMHO a bad idea.
