Hello, The following draft has been updated and may be of interest to some people in this Working Group.
It addresses comments received on the -01 version. It also includes a way for the peer and server to agree on password pre-processing if the server does not have access to the plaintext password. Please have a look. Comments are welcome. regards, Dan. > -----Original Message----- > From: IETF I-D Submission Tool [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, June 23, 2008 11:35 AM > To: Dan Harkins > Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: New Version Notification for draft-harkins-emu-eap-pwd-02 > > > A new version of I-D, draft-harkins-emu-eap-pwd-02.txt has > been successfuly submitted by Dan Harkins and posted to the > IETF repository. > > Filename: draft-harkins-emu-eap-pwd > Revision: 02 > Title: EAP Authentication Using Only A Password > Creation_date: 2008-06-23 > WG ID: Independent Submission > Number_of_pages: 36 > > Abstract: > This memo describes an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) > method, EAP-pwd, which uses a shared password for authentication. > The password may be a low-entropy one and may be drawn from some set > of possible passwords, like a dictionary, which is available to an > attacker. > > > > > The IETF Secretariat. > > _______________________________________________ Emu mailing list Emu@ietf.org https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/emu
