look. I know that I have more than my share of those!
With my fat, nearly 91 yo fingers, typu's guaranteed ;o)>
I'll have to blow that away & recreate the new one because I've been
attacking the tabs in both to pretty them up.
Hang on. Blew it away, used mc to do the copying renaming this time, cp
-r didn't copy attributes, works now. Thanks.
Next problem, ISTR being able to do math in the mdi command line, but
now it errors. Experimentally I found a way to draw the circles for a
radius of 1mm by prepositioning x&y to -.707106781, aka the sine or cos
of one for a "g3 f50 r1 ^-1 @1 p10 z250" which then does the 10 turn
circle, spiral up or down if Z is different. So I ought to be able to
increment #100, and make #101=.707106781*#100 and have all the data I
need to draw the expanding circle as the edm eats it away by putting
-#101 into both X&Y as starter position for the next g2/g3 stroke. Where
in the doc do I read how to do that math w/o errors. ISTR doing it
before, lots of times. doc is jan 2025 issue. ISTR using < > to wrap
#100 vars, maybe thats it.
And I just found an xfce4 bug, I lose key repeat everytime I use a mouse
highlight swipe then mmb to copy/paste. PITA.
Nice to see you here. Retired but 20+ years behind me in calendars
tossed I assume.

Then did you tweak all of the .ini files to point to the new directory?
Will this setup for EDM be used on the same machine as the original
configuration?
yes and yes, then i commented out the 2 loadrt's and both addf's. So s/b
same as src but No change in results. src version runs, this won't.
What do you want to see? And thank you.

what did I or cp screw up?? FWIW the original go704-xyz stuff still
runs, bitching about the missing camera that's plugged in and works
fine with cheese.
linuxcnc_print.txt says:
Starting HAL User Interface program: halui
DELAY=
ini.traj_max_velocity still 0.0 after 20 seconds
Starting DISPLAY program: axis
Removing HAL_LIB, RTAPI, and Real Time OS modules
Removing NML shared memory segments
Do I have to hard code the halui line in the ini file?
Thanks all.
