I just built a newer preempt-rt kernel, on the pi4, which is a piece of cake using SSD's on usb3 adapters. linux-4.19.94-rt39
Getting ready to make a newer u-sd card, and basicly following your script, I got to the cluster of 4 cp's that install it, only to discover the built kernel has no arch/arm/boot/overlays directory but has the stuff for every armhf architecture on this planet in the dts subdir. Did I screw up something in the make menuconfig that would cause that? I'd like the overlays to be there, and contain only that which the pi4 needs. But right now the dts tree has 1971 files for every armhf platform on the planet. 38 megs of 98% junk. Thanks John.
