Actually if you just bought a Pi3 and wished you had waited another few days. You can sell the Pi3 very easy and recover 1/2 of what you spent. I'd buy almost and ARM A or ARM M development board for 1/2 of retail. I see them as platforms for testing software and for that purpose I don't need the latest. I'm not unique and you'd have no trouble unloading last generation development boards on eBay. Better to do that them let them remain unused until they become worthless
