Greetings; I removed and later reinstalled, memtest86.
Same error msg, exactly Tried 2 new 2G sticks of slightly faster memory Same error after 1st stick subbed Tried another stick by itself. Same error msg after it was installed. Tried 2 sticks, same error msg exactly. Left 2 new sticks, 4Gb in it, booted plumb normally, see's 3737 megs of it, expected because this default kernel has a 4G limit. Claims PAE but isn't. It runs our linux install just fine. latency-test and latency-plot are just fine. So I'm in the process of "putting it back together". Somewhere, theres another shoe to drop, but I may as well use it till it does die. 4 more cables cut to hook up the axis drivers and I'll be ready to make the 2nd interfaces back panel. By then the mister kit should be here, along with some homeing/limit switches. One thing of note, I have to reach up on the shelf, find the run button and press it once before LCNC can control it after a powerdown. That could become a PITA. I see 110 volt vfd's are starting to show up on fleabay, and I can get a 2.2kw for around $135 with ship from the left coast. I'm tempted. We'll see how well this one works first though. Use up its crappy bearings etc etc. Cheers everybody, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
