Greetings all;

One of the problems I'll have to solve in the future for a tool changer,
is the diff in unlock run time of the ratchet wrench, dependent on
whether the tool is in a TTS like holder, and all thats being changed is
the TTS holder or needs to have the r9 itself changed, For the TTS, an
unscrew of just enough to loosen the R8's grip on the TTS tool holder.

But if changing the r8 because the next tool is gooped at the correct
length in an r8, I'll have to run the ratchet wrench another half an
inch+ to totally drop the r8. This is also a lot more rise and fall of
the z axis to achieve the clearance needed to move the chain. IOW I'll
need to have two different canned motion sequences somehow controlled
either by a tool table entry, or something to tell the tool changer what
its to do.

How have the rest of you solved this problem on a smaller mill that might
use both styles of tool holders? I could see a flag on the pocket
tripping a microswitch, or at the expense of a longer chain, dedicated
pockets, or a prox sw above the pocket that would trigger only on the
longer r8? And probably something I haven't imagined yet.

Thanks for any suggestions I can carve into this when I find my lost
round tuit.
