Greetings; I'd bought 100 foot of a 2 pair, individually shielded cable for wiring up the controls of this new 7i76 board, supposed to be delivered the 6th. From ebay of coarse.
Its the 3rd and it just walked up on my front deck, hopped into a chair under the doorbell and jumped up one more time to ring the doorbell which ups always does and the postman never does. The seller must not have wanted to fool with the leftovers, so he sent the whole partial spool, for an estimated 150 feet according to the hand scribbled note in the bottom of the box. The spool must have been 5000 feet originally. Somebody must have repealed TANSTAAFL! I sniffed around, but couldn't detect the smell of roses either. But it is a pleasant surprise. I am also impressed with its size, about 3mm for overall diameter. I'll have to rig a teeny grommet or maybe a piece of small engine fuel line with the size of connector that s/b in the afternoon mail to get any strain relief clamping at all. 12mm, 5 pin plug/socket combo's. A pin for each wire and one for the drain wire. And one connector per axis(4), or function(gearshift,spindle,spindle-psu, flood & mist, probe(4 more) about 8 right now but leave room in the back panel for 10 in case I do build a tool changer. Now I have the i/o to control that accessory. Before it was just wishfull thinking. You can't see it, but there's a big grin on my face right now. Thanks everybody. -- Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
