I don't recall the mode #, but I have it running in PDM mode, where when you get below the one pulse per period, it starts skipping periods. That with my ridiculous high resolution encoder, seems to run it quite steady at very slow speeds, like 25 rpm. Thats fine enough I could use it for orientation while tool changing, if I had a changer. I hope to fix that, someday. R8's are a pita.
