Hello to all. I'm about to buy a pair of encoders for my lathe and I need 5000 PPR.
These look really good and are also at a good price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hiedenhain-Rotary-Encoder-5000ppr-ERN-471-/231921126389?hash=item35ff938bf5:g:vpwAAOSwqrtWoqxN My doubt is that in the label it says TTL x25 wich I don't know what it means. Is this a multiplication factor? Do I have to consider this to address the 5000 PPR that I need? Also, I was wondering if there's a big difference in using differential encoders, because so far normal ones worked well for me, but sometimes I get a little paranoid about noise issues. Thanks as always for your help. -- *Leonardo Marsaglia*. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find and fix application performance issues faster with Applications Manager Applications Manager provides deep performance insights into multiple tiers of your business applications.
