So do I. But I personally prefer mailing lists. The problem with a mailing list is that you automatically get sent everything. The problem with the forum is that you don't automatically get shown everything... A forum is great if you want to ask a question and get an answer to only your question, ignoring the rest. It is much less great if you are attempting to ensure that you read everything that is posted there. A mailing list is great if you want to make sure that you are up to date with everything that is going on, and don't want to miss anything. It is rather less great if you want to ask one question, get an answer, and ignore the rest. There has to be room for both, it would be impossible for me to keep up with the mailing lists of all the projects that I occasionally visit the forums of. At the same time I wouldn't fancy trying to keep track of even one more forum than the one I do read (ours).
