Always pay an order of magnitude more attention to PCW than to me on this sort of subject. I will also add to PCWs suggestion of matrix-wiring the switches. The switches do not need to be physically arranged in a matrix to be wired in a matrix, and doing so will very much reduce the pin usage. You can choose two matrix sizes, 8x4 (32 buttons, 12 IO pins) or 8x8 (64 buttons, 16 IO pins) and then convert the scan-codes to HAL pins with matrix_kb http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man9/matrix_kb.9.html -- atp If you can't fix it, you don't own it. http://www.ifixit.com/Manifesto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BPM Camp - Free Virtual Workshop May 6th at 10am PDT/1PM EDT Develop your own process in accordance with the BPMN 2 standard Learn Process modeling best practices with Bonita BPM through live exercises http://www.bonitasoft.com/be-part-of-it/events/bpm-camp-virtual- event?utm_ source=Sourceforge_BPM_Camp_5_6_15&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=VA_SF _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
