pretty close. Your might inherit your wife's title; but your gender will remain - you might wind up as "Herr Doktor Wesley". This does happen - even in my family, so there's something to it. My brother did a master in pharmacy, but was married to a doctor of medicine. He did acquire the "Herr Doktor" as far as our employees go; nevermind he 'did his PhD thesis at the altar'. I actually did a PhD thesis and hence didnt acquire my doctorate by osmosis as he did; nevertheless - being a bit more on the communicative side - I go as "Herr Michael".
